www.rallyesunseeker.co.uk On Wednesday 25th of October, London Irish Motor Club were invited to the launch of the 2007 Rallye Sunseeker at the Marriott Hotel in Bournemouth. Rallye Sunseeker will be the opening round of the 2007 MSA National Gravel Rally Championship. It takes place on the Friday 23rd / Saturday 24th of February with the opening stages again run in darkness along the Bournemouth Winter Gardens and Seafront.
The Rally, being run again by the Croydon + District MC and Southern Car Club, has attracted some major partners for the event and amongst those are, Sunseeker Motoryachts, Turbo Dynamics, CMP Digital print and copy, For Your Eyes Only, Bournemouth Highcliff Marriott Hotel which will be used again as Rally HQ, Shannon Holdings and AA signs. For the first time this year the rally also is aiming to raise money for the RTCW..... Round Tables Childrens Wish. This is a registered charity that grants wishes to children who are suffering from life threatening illnesses and are under 18 years of age and live in Great Britain and Ireland. Founded in 1990 the charity has granted over 1000 wishes and fundraising manager Paul Hampton comments "being associated with Rallye Sunseeker will really put the RTCW in the driving seat when it comes to making wishes come true for poorly children" London Irish Motor Club will be involved where they can. It is the clubs aim to help raise funds for this Charity in the lead up to the Rally early next year. The Club will aim to help with Marshalls on the day and are hopeful of providing some entries on this great event as well. It is also hoped that the Club will accommodate a top hotel in the Bournemouth area during the rally and will aim to organise some sort of event for everyone on the Saturday night after the prizegiving is over.
